Tompkins Corners Cultural Center

To create and maintain an Arts and Cultural Center in the (former) Tompkins Corners Methodist Church in Putnam Valley, NY, built in 1891 and on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

To preserve this historic building for the community and open it to the public for concerts, plays, festivals and other events; to encourage participation of local and visiting visual and performing artists.

To preserve and perpetuate local community traditions, including the music, crafts, and spoken arts that have shaped the character and history of this region; to educate and enable general audiences to experience and enjoy the traditional arts; to foster an appreciation for the power of place, the value of tradition and the creativity found in community.
