East of the road and just north of the elementary school, you can see a most unusual double stone chamber set at a right angle to the road. The chamber is on private property — please look from the road only.

The museum is located in the 1846 one-room schoolhouse in Adams Corners. Exhibits change periodically, with two major exhibits per year.

There is an open exhibit at the mill which was a grist and cider mill that operated into the 1930's.

Tompkins Corners

Putnam Valley
Tompkins Corners, which is listed on the National Register, is home to the Methodist Church, the general store that dates back at least 150 years, and a house that was built by one of the original Tompkins in the area in the late 18th century. Franklin D. Roosevelt spoke here when running for Governor.
